New Zealand's #1 Air Guitarist for 2002 is......

Congratulations to Toby ‘The Tobanator’ Peneha, NZ’s #1 Air Guitarist!!
Grumpy Mole Napier Air Guitar Champion ‘The Tobanator’ last nite took out first place in the inaugural National 2002 ‘NZ Air Guitar Championships’ held at the Podium Nightclub Poenamo Hotel, Takapuna, Auckland. 'Tobanator’ went onto represent NZ at the 2002 7th Annual World Air Guitar Championships held in Oulu, Finland on the 23/8/02, where he placed 2nd overall.
Victory was sweet, but not easy for 'Tobanator' at the 2002 NZAGC due to very stiff competition from fellow Regional Champions including: Daniel “Irene” Webby (Palmerston Nth), Andrew “The Stunt Guitarist” Roberts (Well) and Keiran “Karving Kezza” Brewster (C/CH).
‘Tobanators’ committed hard core stage presentation got him across the line from second place getter Hamilton champ Tony “The Nail” Vincent with only 1.5 separating the two. Third place was a tie taken out by Ricarrdo “Philphly McNasty” Ball (Nth AKL) and “Young Davo” Warbrick (Sth AKL). All Regional champions put on a show the 300 strong crowd will not forget in a hurry as the finalists strummed up an air storm and performed countless outrageous air antics.
